Atapy

Arpi Takacs is the man behind the rising name Atapy, but lets not speed things up when it comes to this guy.

To compensate for this young age (born in 86), Atapy's addiction to electronic music started early, first as a

regular freak in club corners and then behind the booth, testing his dj skills. The beginning was slow, but as

Atapy made progress, a growing amount of labels, DJs and fans started taking notice of his work.

It was 2010 that he started to put more attention on the production side after a lot of research and musical

exposure. Atapy's skills has been hosted as a guest to many radio shows creating a hype of his sound. He

released some of his productions with heavy notice and support by people like M.A.N.D.Y./Dubfire/Laurent

Garnier/Ritchie Hawtin/ Tom Budden/ Djuma Soundsystem/Someone Else/Jacuzzi Boys/Brothers Vibe and

many more.

2011 was an important year for Atapy, starting with a single called Move Baby released on his own imprint

Cimelde, that won support from artists like M.A.N.D.Y., Anthony Pappa and Tim Green. Also having a couple

of other single EP's on Daniel Mehlhart’s imprint, Notes, and after the well success of his track Move Baby,

he was ready for his new re-edit of the tune up on Cimelde as Move Baby The Remixes EP including

reworks by Anthony Pappa, Tom Budden, Sasc BBC and Simon Beeston. The next big step was a

collaboration between him and Noir, with a single called Never Fade Back included on Full Body Workout

Vol. 9 the annual compilation, released on the Berlin based imprint Get Physical alongside artists like DJ T,

Audiojack, Blond:ish, Simon Baker and Martin Buttrich.

Now he is on new stuffs lately, having upcoming collaborations with the Brazilian duo Digitaria and twell

known singers from LA (US) like Louisahhh!!! and Cari Golden, both awesome vocalists of the electronic

underground music industry but not only. His latest reworks for the legendary Night Rider theme song and

another for Angels, single from the latest album of The XX as free giveaway for his fans, was a real surprise

that pushed him forward on a higher level.

So as you can see under Arpi's sleeves are always some hidden ace ready to emerge to many different

aspects. One thing is for sure, its all about quality and not quantity and things looking very spicy and

promising for him. Mark this guy to your calendar for sure something not to miss.
